Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6th, 2026

Daniel's Tennis provides tennis instruction services and operates this website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a booking or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here.

01. Personal Information We Collect or Process

When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by applicable law, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information:

  • Contact details including your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Financial information including your Venmo handle and payment confirmation details.
  • Participant information including the age of the person taking the lesson.
  • Communications with us — the content of messages you send when contacting us for support or scheduling.
  • Usage information regarding your interaction with the Services, including how and when you navigate the site.

02. Personal Information Sources

We may collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you — when you book a lesson or contact us. This is generally limited to your name, phone number, email address, Venmo handle, and participant age.
  • Automatically through the Services — from your device when you visit our website, including through the use of cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies & Tracking" below).
  • From a parent or guardian — when a lesson is booked for a minor, we receive the participant's first name and age from the adult completing the booking.

03. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the personal information you provide for the following purposes:

  • To schedule, confirm, reschedule, and deliver the lessons you request.
  • To contact you about your booking (by phone, text, or email) and to send payment reminders.
  • To process payment through Venmo and reconcile lesson payments.
  • To keep records of signed injury waivers as required for our own liability protection.
  • To respond to questions, feedback, and support requests you send us.
  • To detect, prevent, and address abuse, spam, or unlawful activity involving the Services.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, profiling, or targeted advertising.

04. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to load the site, remember basic display preferences, and keep the site secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not run cross-site tracking pixels.

Basic, aggregated analytics may be used to understand how visitors find and navigate the site (for example, which pages are most viewed). Any such analytics are configured to avoid collecting information that identifies you personally. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly-necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working properly.

05. How We Disclose Personal Information

In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:

  • When you direct, request, or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties (for example, when you contact us through your email provider or send payment through Venmo, those services will process the corresponding information under their own privacy policies).
  • In connection with a business transaction, to comply with any applicable legal obligations (including to respond to subpoenas, search warrants, and similar requests), to enforce any applicable terms of service or policies, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.

Daniel's Tennis does not sell your personal information and does not share your personal information with third parties for targeted advertising.

06. Third Party Websites and Links

The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties (for example, Venmo or your email provider). If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators.

07. Children's Data

The Services are not intended to be used directly by children. When a lesson is booked for a participant under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, the booking must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, and any personal information about the child is provided by that adult. If you are the parent or guardian of a child whose personal information you believe has been provided to us and you would like it deleted, please contact us using the details below.

08. Security and Retention of Your Information

Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." Any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.

As a general rule, we retain personal information only for as long as we have a legitimate business reason to do so:

  • Booking and contact information is retained for up to 24 months after your last lesson so we can respond to follow-up questions, disputes, and rebooking requests.
  • Payment confirmation records (Venmo handles, dates, and amounts) are retained for up to 7 years to meet tax and record-keeping obligations.
  • Signed physical injury waivers are retained for the length of time recommended by our insurance and applicable statute-of-limitations laws.
  • Website analytics data, where collected, is retained in an aggregated form and is not tied to your identity.

You can ask us to delete information sooner (see "Your Rights and Choices" below); we will honor that request unless we are legally required to keep it.

09. Payments and Third-Party Processors

We use Venmo (operated by PayPal, Inc.) to receive lesson payments. When you send us a payment, Venmo processes your personal and financial information under its own privacy policy and terms — we only receive confirmation that a payment was made, your Venmo handle, the amount, and the date. We do not receive or store your bank account number, credit card number, or Venmo login credentials.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in certain cases we may decline your request as permitted by law.

  • Right to Access / Know. Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Delete. Request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Correct. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right of Portability. Receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Managing Communication Preferences. You may ask us to stop sending non-essential communications at any time by replying to any message from us.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before we can process your requests, as permitted or required under applicable law.

11. U.S. State & International Privacy Rights

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other U.S. state residents: your state may give you additional rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Daniel's Tennis does not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may still exercise your access, deletion, and correction rights by emailing the address in the Contact section.

Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: our legal bases for processing your personal information are (a) performance of a contract (delivering the lesson you booked), (b) compliance with a legal obligation (tax and safety records), and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services. You may withdraw consent, object to processing, or request a transfer of your data at any time by contacting us.

If we ever transfer your personal information outside your home country (for example, because our hosting or email providers operate in the United States), we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Complaints

If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the "Last updated" date, and provide notice as required by applicable law.
